“Summer of ’69 Reunited”
Hi
all, it’s been some time since the first newsletter went out, the
Committee has been very busy planning our 45th Reunion in a way that
would make it different and lots of fun. We asked for suggestions and
comments and received many, thank you.
We have opted for a summer reunion as the first change, this was one
of the suggestions made by several people and because we graduated
in the summer time it seemed appropriate. We also have decided on a
more casual venue so bell bottoms, mini skirts, shorts, whatever is
comfortable for you (within reason) will be the acceptable dress
code.
The
food will be a nice outdoor catered BBQ/Clambake kind of menu that
will include a variety to suit everyone’s taste.
The Reunion will be held at the Eagles Hall, Litchfield Street in
Leominster with a meet and greet / gathering at 3:00 PM on Saturday,
August 2, 2014. The BBQ will begin at 4:00 PM.
We
felt this would open up the opportunity for more mingling rather
than the traditional sit down dinner. It also allows more time,
biggest complaint on the 40th was that it just went by too fast!
At 8:00 PM the DJ will begin playing inside where dancing and more
socializing will commence. The hall will be available throughout the
reunion, including the BBQ, in the event of rain, extreme heat, etc.
We are still finalizing other details and we are still open to and
welcome any suggestions that anyone might have. As we have always
said, this is YOUR reunion and we want it to be something that you
can enjoy and remember.
We are expecting to get invitations out by the end of March so that
everyone has plenty of time to make their travel plans if necessary.
